Plan Your Visit

When Should I Arrive?

Our services are at 9:30 and 11 am.

You can arrive a little before each service and enjoy a cup of coffee/tea on us in our lobby area. We do have two entrances. Our main door is wheel chair accessible and is located just down from the corner of Spring St. & Church St. We also have designated parking for those with mobility concerns located right in front of our building on Church Street.

What Can I Expect?

We understand that coming into a church for the first time can be intimidating and we would like to make your experience as comfortable as possible. There are signs posted that will direct you to our, restrooms, children’s ministry areas and offices.

When you arrive you will be greeted by one of our volunteer greeters. He or she will offer you a newsletter that let’s you know what is happening at SBC for the coming week and any events that are on the horizon. The back page describes the various Bible Study groups, Home Churches, Children & Youth activities and ongoing outreach ministries.

At 9:30 am, our worship band begins the service with songs of praise, then our children are dismissed for a time of fun and learning at Kingdom Kids (upstairs). We then dig into learning how Jesus wants us to live/serve/thrive in today’s world. We also offer a lovingly staffed nursery area for those with infants to age 3.

At 11 am, our worship is led a bit more traditionally with praise music played with piano. There are no children’s ministries offered at this service, but the youth (grade 7-12) meet for Sunday School in the youth room upstairs.

Both of our services are about 1 hour in length.

Our Nursery

What about my children?

Our children’s ministry on Sunday mornings operates during the 9:30 am service. Our nursery area is open during the 11 am service, however, there are no volunteers serving at that time.

We want your children to have a positive experience here as well. Should you have an infant (birth to age 3), please fell free to keep them with you. We do have a staffed (during the 9:30 service) nursery area that you can use to feed, change or just comfort your child. If you are comfortable leaving your child with our volunteers during the 9:30 am service, you are welcome to do that too. Our nursery is located in a room off the same area where we offer coffee.

For your older children during the 9:30 am service (ages 4 - grade 6): We like to have our children participate with the whole congregation during the first few songs. After that they head upstairs for Kingdom Kids. Please feel free to go with your child and return to the service when you both feel comfortable. Our wonderful teachers and volunteers will spend time teaching and having fun throughout their time upstairs. If you return to the service, you will need to pick your child up from upstairs and sign them out.
